Durham, NC | Nov 13-14, 2018

On November 13-14, manufacturers from across North Carolina gathered in Durham to share best practices, practical advice, and helpful tips for creating a safer, more efficient and more profitable manufacturing sector.

Just like your organization, mfgCON continues to evolve. The 2018 agenda reflected the feedback mfgCON attendees have given over previous years. 2018 Pre-Conference Workshop

Back by Popular Demand

Due to the popularity of the robotics panel discussion at mfgCON 2017, NCMEP held a robotics pre-conference workshop on November 12 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Click here for more details.

Workshop TakeAways

This workshop will help you understand why you should consider implementing robotics in your facility as well as learn best practices from manufacturers already using robotics, including real facts about what robots mean for American workers.

Robots Gaining Traction in North Carolina

The Brookings Institute estimated that the nation had almost 234,000 industrial robots in 2015. North Carolina, alone, had 7485 in 2015, more than doubling the amount the state had in 2010 and ranking 13th in the nation for the number of industrial robots.  The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) believes that robotics shipments to the United States will increase 15% per year from 2018-2020.

Robotics is Finally Within Your Reach

Ranging from huge industrial robots to smaller collaborative robots or “cobots” that work next to humans, robots help automate production to keep American companies globally competitive, while maintaining operations at home. Robots offer significant productivity and safety advantages, even for small operations. Come learn how to get the fastest ROI for your automation investment.
