Improve your competitive advantage in the data age: Supply Chain Management and Data Analytics
February 7 | 11:00 am - 2:00 pmFree
Join us on February 7 from 11:00am–2:00pm for our next MNC Network Event in Durham. This session is designed to provide awareness and understanding of data analytics and digital supply chain management and how manufacturers—regardless of company size—can take advantage of these tools to grow their business.
The first part of the presentation will assist in the evaluation and understanding of what digital supply chain management (DSCM) is, its benefits, how to move towards implementation of DSCM and determine your readiness to implement DCSM. By helping to distinguish valuable and relevant technologies from industry buzzwords, this session allows participants to better understand the potential power of integrating DSCM to their business. Using real-world examples and tools, this presentation will provide insight and tactics to begin the evaluation and implementation of DSCM. Participants will benefit by determining their current adoption of digital supply chain, their readiness to implement digital supply chain management, and discuss barriers to utilizing digital supply chain tools and technologies.
The second part of the presentation will focus on Data Analytics. Data analytics is a key driver in helping manufacturers identify performance problems within the digital supply chain. Much of our manufacturing and industrial data continues to be stored in data warehouses, only to be accessed for routine inspection and control. Data is a manufacturer’s best tool in gaining a competitive advantage.
In this session we will:
- Examine strategies for data collection and analytics
- Discuss the integration of analytics into workflows and decision-making processes
- Share manufacturing metrics
- Link technical and business knowledge to data analytics, and
- Consider the role of leadership
This session will be facilitated by Dr. Lori Rothenberg, Associate Professor, Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management at the Wilson College of Textiles at NC State University and Dr. John F. Kros, Professor, Marketing & Supply Chain Management at East Carolina University College of Business. This event is open only to manufacturers and network sponsors. Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
